Napkinism is the one true religion

It is circular reasoning to require someone to believe before evaluating the evidence to justify the belief, because belief affects the evaluation process. The official napkin religion - if it is written, must be true, right? Circular reasoning works because circular reasoning works.

I’ve actually used this exact argument when I get caught in the circular logic web when arguing with a religious theist. I write on a napkin “The only noble truth is that which is written below: strangemask is your god, and you must worship him always.” It says it’s the truth, and it was written by me, who is obviously a god because it’s written there on that thar piece o’ paper which says it’s the truth! It’s usually the end of such arguments because they can’t refute it without refuting their whole belief system. Fortunately for them, the human brain is fantastic at resolving such logical inconsistencies by simply ignoring them…otherwise they might actually have to start thinking which would lead to them failing to believe in fairy tales anymore.
